Mariah Scofield - Dental Assistant/Office Lab Tech
Mariah graduated from Lakeland High School in 1996 and received her Dental Radiation License from Old Dominion University. She began dental assisting 12 years ago in a quality oriented practice in Suffolk, Virginia. It gave her a wonderful introduction to dentistry based on professionalism and quality dental care.
After relocated to sunny southern California, she was blessed to have the opportunity to work with an outstanding dental team in the San Diego area. She worked for a husband and wife dental practice who were committed to excellent care for their patients by ensuring everyone on the team was educated in the latest advances in dentistry. Among the courses she attended were Evolutionary Hygiene in Support of Aesthetic Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute and Advanced Functional Posterior Aesthetic Program at the University of the Pacific. While working there, Mariah was a part of helping many patients regain not only their health but their confidence through their new smiles.
Upon her return to Virginia she was faced with choosing a new office. As she started her search she came upon Dr. Cranham's office. She was extremely impressed with his commitment to continuing education, as the student and the teacher. She has been with Dr. Cranham's office since June of 2005 and enjoys it everyday. The most rewarding part of her job is welcoming patients and making them feel comfortable. In an effort to continue to bring their patients the ultimate in care, Mariah has attended several of the The Dawson Center's courses and completed The Dale Carnegie course: Effective Communications and Human Relations along with several other dental lectures and courses. When Mariah is not in the dental office, she enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of dentistry with other offices through her lectures and in-office dental courses. Aside from dentistry, Mariah enjoys hanging out with her puppy, Jeter, spending time with friends, hanging at the beach and reading.
