From your first contact with our Chesapeake dental office, you’ll sense immediately that we’re here to pamper you and deliver the first-class service you deserve. When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be greeted by name and offered fresh coffee, tea, or bottled water. A video of recent before and after photos as well as educational DVDs that explain our services always plays in our reception room. Our walls are lined with photographs of patient cases that demonstrate the life-changing results we deliver each day.
We respect your time, so you’ll experience little or no waiting prior to your appointment. You’ll be promptly escorted to a treatment room where you can receive a massage in one of our heated massage chairs. Listen to your favorite music, watch cable TV, or enjoy a DVD with Bose noise-limiting headphones during treatment. If you’re arriving from out of town, we’ll assist with travel and lodging arrangements, as well as transfers and suggestions for local dining. Consider us your own personal concierge!
Your First Visit
We call your first visit your records appointment. You’ll be greeted by a member of our knowledgeable, friendly staff who will guide you through your visit and introduce you to Dr. Cranham. He’ll take the time to listen to your concerns and expectations and perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and temporomandibular joints. Dr. Cranham will look for problems that could compromise your teeth and supporting structures. We’ll take digital photos of your smile as well as a full set of digital X-rays. If you’re considering cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Cranham will assess your smile to determine which treatments will deliver the desired results.
Following your examination, we’ll schedule a separate consultation where Dr. Cranham will present a treatment plan to accomplish your smile goals. You’ll have ample time to ask questions and discuss plan specifics.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (for example: diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.), or if you’re taking any medications (for example: heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
